In March 1997, I conceived a gestural interaction by which a user could simultaneously specify both the form and also the quality of movement of an animated shape. This system, which is released here for the first time, is described in detail in my 2000 Masters thesis from MIT, "Painterly Interfaces for Audiovisual Performance", p.66-69. This composition is one of three extant recordings produced with the software in 1997. Edition of 20 +1AP.
