sewn is an exploration of balanced recursive division of two-dimensional space. Using the three mouse buttons (or arrow keys and space bar) the canvas can be interactively partitioned both vertically and horizontally. The system's subdivision algorithm has the special property that all rectangles come to rest with precisely the same area. sewn was originally created by Jared Schiffman in 1998, and restored by @dribnet in 2021 - https://dribnet.github.io/sewn/
