A series of visual experiments emerging from an attempt to simulate generative biological forms through geometry, collage and hand drawn animation. In this first instance, a collab with the estimable Liam Egan (@neuromantic6), and inspired in part by both @pointline_ & @arsiliath, a 3D animation of parametric geometry is extracted by projecting onto a flat surface as an alpha layer. This animation is then split into frames, which are randomly stacked in groups of 3 or 4 to occlude each other in sequence, creating an infinite set of shapes mimicking biological formations. Perhaps of mould growth in a petri dish, of microscopic cellular automata, or even the formation of large scale structures in the universe.
