This piece was originally conceived in the early 2000s. It was a time of Digital Rights Management and DVD decryption - the code being sold on t-shirts. It was before we knew exactly what control of content meant. I wanted to create an artwork that would be guaranteed to infringe on a lot of copyrights, but not right away. To play with what it meant to have a copyright. - @tarwin
